Head Coach

Ellen LeClair begins her first year as head coach for the ETBU pom team after three years overlooking and leading the Centenary College competitive cheer and dance teams. The Kilgore, Texas, native will also be the campus visit coordinator for ETBU admissions.

LeClair spent two years as the head cheerleading coach at the University of West Alabama and was also the assistant dance coach prior to her time at Centenary. She managed the team's social media accounts, provided logistical support for event operations, and was a graduate assistant in the student affairs office. Professionally, she also worked for the Brazos Valley Bombers collegiate summer league baseball team in Bryan, Texas, as the community events coordinator and interned at both KBTX News in College Station and KLTV News in Tyler.

She started her collegiate cheering career at Mississippi State University on the All-Girl Squad before transferring to Texas A&M University where she was a member of the All-Girl Competitive Squad. In her first year at TAMU, she was awarded Rookie of the Year on the cheer team and competed at NCA Nationals in Daytona Beach, Florida, all three years.

In high school, she cheered and was the captain of the school's dance team. She also competed at USASF Dance Worlds Competition twice in hip-hop.

LeClair graduated from Texas A&M in 2017, majoring in communication and minoring in journalism. In 2019, she earned her master's degree in student affairs in higher education from West Alabama. She is married to Billy who is the head lacrosse coach at Centenary College.
